After being trapped in the marble palace for a few days, it was finally time to venture into the Goesan. Tuesday night, a group of us ventured out on a school night. The goal? Papingsu.
What is Papingsu? Well, it was a new experience for me too. A combination of shaved ice, condensed milk, ice cream, and red beans combined in a huuuuge bowl and served as a dessert. For nine people, we ordered three of these ginormous delicacies and dug in.
The varieties? Green tea, Strawberry, and the original. All three were delicious (green tea may have been less so...). We devoured them in a matter of minutes. I don't know if they're healthy. I'm also not convinced they would do well in the US...but I do know that I will be getting me some more Papingsu in the very near future.
Mmmmmm....
